If the youths are not helped early enough in life, it could be too late. The second reason is to help them gain increasing understanding of their own selves, weaknesses, strengths, culture and other values necessary for their wholesome growth among other benefits on both the mentor and mentee/proteges. I believe that I have a place in my heart for younger people which to me, is more of a way of life for me. And it is not just about what I can get out of the relationship but what I am able to offer and pass across that motivates me. Over the years, mentoring has helped me realize that every youth is a gem when you patiently work with them to discover them...
